There haven't been any Hooks/SuperX Pharmacies in Indiana for a long while. Here is what I know...Hook's Drug Stores was an Indianapolis, Indiana-based drug store chain which was founded in 1900 by John A. Hook. The chain flourished throughout central Indiana for most of the 20th-century until Hook’s-SupeRx was acquired by Revco in 1994. Revco was subsequently acquired by CVS. Many former Hook's locations are now CVS Pharmacies.
Before Hook-SupeRx was sold to Revco, its stores traded under three different names - Hook's Drug and SupeRx in the Midwest and Brooks Pharmacy in New England. Hook's Drug and SupeRx merged in the mid 1980s to form Hook-SupeRx. Hook-SupeRx acquired the Brooks chain in 1987. Today, Brooks is the only former Hook brand which lives on, now as a division of the Canadian-based Jean Coutu Group.
How can I find a list of hooks superx pharmacies?
Hook-SuperX was folded into CVS. However, "Hook's Apothecary" is a new company, using the Hook name, founded by the great-grandson of the original Hook's founder. It is a custom pharmaceutical compounding company in Evansville, Indiana. Report It
