My Acer laptop came with a microphone that hooks into the USB port.?
You have to be hooked into a program that needs a microphone. If you join Yahoo Chat, you can go into the room and ask if anyone hears you. If you have Windows Live Messenger, you can call your contacts on the computer using the microphone.
