Unfortunately, you probably won't be able to contact her directly. Big authors have publicists and personal assistants who schedule their appearances for them. The best way you can get any idea of how to reach Bell Hooks would be to call the publicity department of the publishing house that puts out her book and ask if they could put you in touch with an assistant, or perhaps they could arrange the appearance for you. Most likely, however, they will not disclose the information to you due to, probably, privacy issues.
