What is the cable called that hooks up to the VCR and the TV? The screw on one?

It's the cable that has a little tiny pin in the middle, and that screws on to the VCR and then the TV.

It's called a coaxial cable available at most any department stores - Target, Walmart, Best Buy
Reply:It is a co-ax or coaxial cable.

It does not screw on, it is just a push fit. if you try unscrewing it the plug will come apart.

then you can see a braided wire which shields the central pin/ the arial wire, betewwn the two is an insulator.

s-cable is a bit like the old DIN, don't try twisting them as the pins will get bent.

Scart cables are sort of rectangular with lots of flat pins.

firewire is v small 4 or 6 pin plugs
