Why does Ford trucks have tow hooks on the back and Chevy has them on front?

IT makes it easier to tow the Chevy's down the road. Think about it!

Come on guys the tailgate thing was a joke.

Reply:I'm a ford guy and that is a lame question. A better question is what option code to use when ordering a chevy truck to get the towbar installed on the front.
Reply:The Ford's have tow-hooks on the front as well. I'm not sure why the placement of the Chevy's is like that
Reply:Ford trucks have tow hooks on the front, as well as Chevy. Some trucks have tow hitches on the rear that have integrated tow hooks, which might be why the Ford you speak of has them in the rear.

The heated tailgate joke was pretty lame. It might have been funny if Fords actually had heated tailgates, but they don't.
Reply:Ford trucks also have tow hooks on the front of their big super-duty pickups.
Reply:i have an 04 f150 fx4 i have hooks on the front but not on the back
Reply:Those aren't tail lights, they are head lights, Dill Hole!!
Reply:Its easier to pull them out of ditches when Chevys run them off the road.

I always liked the heated tailgates on Ford trucks. It was much better in the winter when you are having to push them down the road.

BWAHAHAHAHA!!
