Thats bull i have removed the starter on my 93 1500 several times. it is hard to do but if i can do it anyone can. the starter is on the passenger side of the engine, please please don't be dumb enough to leave the battery hooked up while you do this or any maintance work at that. with the battery unplugged theres no chance of getting shocked. replacing the wire is where you lose me bc if your starter isn't working i highly doubt its bc of that wire if it is the wire then you really do need to take it to a shop
Reply:I reccommend taking it to a professional as you can get hurt. The starter is heavy and requires shimming.

The wireing is part of a harness and will need someone familiar with rewireing. The sparks alone can hurt you.
Reply:Its the main feed to the computer. You should be able to just replace the fusable link in the wire without having to remove the starter
