What type of fish hooks are best for bluegill and channel?
#6 work well for blue gill.
Channel?? If you mean Channel Cats, then a larger #1 or 1/0 would be a good choice.

Reply:small snell hooks are strong enough for channel cats but they are small enough for bluegills
Reply:# 4 or # 6, make sure they have a long shank, i hate it when they get the hook to far down in there mouth! I always have a hook remover for bream..
Channel cats, I use standard bass treble hook( anything that won't bend if you get a big one!)
