What size of hooks are needed to fish in the gulf of mexico?
it all depends on the size of fish and also the size of bait. Also, if you are fishing off the coast or off a boat. The smaller the hook, the smaller size fish you are going to catch. Sadiki (sp?) rigs(really small hooks, about 5 to a rig) are good to catch bait fish. Don't need a really large hook, unless going deep sea fishing. Just a nice size around 1/2 inch or so.
