What kind of cord hooks your computer to a video outlet on a TV?
VGA to AVI

or a VGA to TV converter.

Something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/VGA-to-S-Video-RCA-C...
Reply:the popular one is an s-video cable, but you have to make sure your video card has that output, and your tv has that input
Reply:if your video cars supports it, it's S-Video or even RF (video editing/capture cards)

if your computer supports it, there'll be a little, round, black (smaller then a dime) outlet next to where your regular monitor cable comes out.

flat displays support VGA or DVI inputs, so you wouldn't need S-Video
Reply:Recommended for all types: GOOD cables (be prepared to to spend some $$$ depending on the length)

Make sure your video card can handle porting video signal out to TV.

Make sure that your video drivers are configured properly to send the signal to the TV.

(Generally either Nview or Catalyst Controls)

The most popular types are as follows:

S-Video. Most common in the age of television. Single line Yellow round connection with either 4 or 7 pins.

DVI: Another single line connector, gaining popularity as TV's are going to HD format, either LCD, Plasma, or OLED. Large White "D-Shell" connector with 21+3 pins

Component Cables: Most High end Video cards have a dongle for this type. 3 round single pin connectors consisting of a Red, Blue, and Green color. Downside from PC only, they are 3 connectors that are merged into a single line, then back out to 3 again. This generally creates the "Fuzzy border" when seen on your TV. In this regard, from PC to TV, it makes it inferior to the other 2 listed above.
Reply:there are three kinds of video connections for a TV from a computer

1)Composit - It looks like an RCA plug.

2)S-Video - It's round and the inside looks like small pins.

3)Coaxial - This is like a line for cable TV.

Which one you will need will depend on the type of video card you have in your computer.
Reply:u can use a regular video cord like ones off of a vcr but u need a video card that has a port for video cords like Ati wich comes with easyshare tv
