I'm very skillful at threading nightcrawlers onto fish hooks. Is this a sin?

Ah- so you are a Master Baiter?

Yes- I think this makes you grow hair on your palms and go blind.

Only if i believed it that you actually do it ummmmmmmmaybe
Reply:I was just watching somebody do that.. no joke.. i wondered the same thing haha.
Reply:Nope :)

Many of Jesus' disciples and other followers were themselves fisherman before following him during his 3 and 1/2 year ministry. Although they were told to be "fishers of men", they still needed a trade, right?

I just spent 4 days at the lake this weekend, and while I don't use live bait, (I use spinners for large mouth bass) I still had a rocking good time and caught 5 fish! :0)

I actually managed to outfish my hubby on my second time out. Hee hee :D He was proud of me though!

But we are catch and release kind of people, so it was all in good fun, not good eats :)
Reply:I am not bad at it either.

Nothing wrong with catching fish to eat, especially on Fridays during Lent!

Peace!
Reply:As long as you fish with them rather than doing this just to be cruel, this is not a sin.
Reply:The one and only time I saw this done, I threw up.

Let's hope that God has a stronger stomach than I did at eight.

It really upset the little boy who had asked me to go fishing with him, especially when I felt sorry for the one fish he caught and kicked it back into the water.

He never did ask me again, although we are still good friends.
Reply:just think of a worm as a tiny little serpent....

you are practicing with the worms..

WWJUFB?

what would jesus use for bait?
Reply:the bible doesnt say threading worms on hooks is a sin
Reply:So am I.. depends on what you want to do with them.

I like to feed the fish ;)
Reply:No... not in my book!
Reply:.No, I hate doing that ,I prefer minnows. GOD BLESS
