Is the SQUARE DRIVER the MAGIC CURE for HOOKS and SLICES?

Whats your experience/opinion on this?

Is the SQUARE DRIVER the MAGIC CURE for HOOKS and SLICES?
A good swing is the only cure for hooks and slices. No clubs have a magic cure. But if you ask the magic 8 ball it might tell you different.
Reply:Clubs dont hook or slice a ball you do!!!

with either a poor swing or the wrong shafts in your clubs(which is down to you).

Invest you money in a golf lesson with a pro even if you got to have 2 or 3 it will still be cheaper than buying new clubs.
Reply:I hit a Sumo Squared for a while. I hit it fairly straight. I traded it in and will possibly get another one with a lower loft. It is not a magic cure, though.
Reply:1st off. there is no magic cure! Swing flaw correction takes time and work. ( Swing flaws cause hooks and slices). the only cure is lessons and practice.
Reply:Square driver are not the cure to slices and hooks. Your swing is the long term correction. Swing with left and hit with right. let the down swing do its own work, you will get a square hit with the driver all the time.

Getting a larger club face driver only makes you wanted to swing it harder and hence creating more slices and hooks.

If you are looking for a piece of equipment to cure slices and hooks, then look for a draw biased driver face that cure slices, like Cobra F-Speed.

If you are the ultimate slicer and hook, then you need to get an offset driver like the Cobra M-Speed or other driver that has an offset.
Reply:I do not believe so. I am about a 6 handicap. Im not sure if you are a begginer or not, but i have a regular Nike Sasquatch Driver in my bag and i hit the ball fairly straight. I also tried the Square Driver and i didnt really see a difference besides that it looks weird and throws me off a little. I really think no club can make you hit the ball any better than you are now until you can get the basic fundamentals of the golf swing first.
Reply:No. Hard Work And Lessons Are The Best Remedy Is Say. Good Luck To Ya.
Reply:if you hook the ball it could be ball position... but you should try the driver out at a store and they can tell you @:)
Reply:The square heads (and other non-square models) with a high MOI help resist twisting on off-center hits, reducing the effect. They do not correct your swing path.
Reply:There is no such thing as a magic cure in golf.
