Reply:Any of the above answers will get you the part in a shop, or even your question. But for the full, technical description, it is a 1/4 inch, male, tip/sleeve, phone jack.
Stereo versions are a tip, ring, sleeve jack. You can see the three connections on your 1/8 walkman type jack.
Not telephone jack, like the square ones now with the bunch of wires. They used to use them on the old phone system where the operator physically made the connections.
