Does a 2004 Camry LE have LATCH hooks for child car seats?

I am not in America now but my parents are and when we visit them we need to buy a car seat to use in their car so I can not physically check it myself and they are not technically competant enough to do it by their selves. I know the Highway Patrol stations will install them for you at no charge but first I need to purchase one. Please help.

Does a 2004 Camry LE have LATCH hooks for child car seats?
The 2004 Camry does have the child restraint anchors as standard equipment. They are just behind the rear seat back. There are plastic covers covering these mounts.
Reply:Yes they do. It is a federal law.
Reply:All cars manufactured and/or sold in the US after September 2003 must have latch system attachment installations in the rear seat outboard positions. All child passenger seats manufactured after that date for sale in the US also have the latch belting system as standard equipment. The child must be 12 months old and 20 pounds to sit in a forward facing child restraint that is attached to the rear seat with the latching system. The Honda you mention would have the system. Ask your relatives to consult the owners manual of that vehicle so they can locate the latches or have a NHTSA Certified Child Passenger Technician install the child passenger unit for you. Persons providing this service in your parent's area can be located by checking the Safe Kids Worldwide website under car seat safety. Good luck.
