Does anyone know if fishing lures (with hooks) are no-no's in carry-on luggage?

They are prohibited from being carried onto the plane in carry-on luggage. The hooks are considered to be capable of being used as weapons.

Put them in your checked baggage and there is no problem.

a no-no Items for sporting goods are limited with what is allowed in the cabin
Reply:Anything sharp will be confiscated,so i'd wrap them up and put them in your suitcase.
Reply:Yeah im thinking that they are. But you could always just call and ask...dont just show up with it...that would be bad!
Reply:yeah i am thinking they are no no's for taking onto the plane but you are probably aloyud to check them in
Reply:im almost positive they are. but to be sure call the airlines and ask customer reps. they can tell u definitely
Reply:If it is sharp, you cannot have it in the cabin of a plane. Fingernail clippers, screwdrivers, nail files, etc. Seriously... just avoid the confrontation and put it in your check-in baggage. Airline security will only make you feel bad by asking if you plan on doing any fishing at 10000 feet :D
